What Happens at a Design Consultation?
The first conversation is not about choosing everything. It is about giving the project a clear direction and identifying the decisions that matter next.
By The Dezign Studio Team
Before the appointment
Bring any plans, room measurements, photographs and examples that explain what you respond to. A useful budget range and desired programme help the studio frame realistic options.
Understanding the room and the household
The conversation covers who uses the space, what currently works, what does not, storage, accessibility, style and the level of building work being considered.
Choosing the right service route
The studio will explain Supply Only, Design & Supply, and complete Design, Supply & Installation so the scope matches the support you need.
What happens next
Depending on the project, the next step may be a survey, a design brief, a product specification or a coordinated project proposal. The aim is to make the sequence clear before commitments are made.
Questions
What clients often ask
Do I need exact measurements for the first appointment?
No, but approximate dimensions and clear photographs help the initial discussion. Accurate survey information is required before final design and ordering.
Can I bring my architect or installer?
Yes. The studio can work with homeowners, architects and installers, particularly on Design & Supply or Supply Only projects.
Can I visit without an appointment?
You are welcome to browse the showroom, but a booked consultation allows time for a focused project discussion.
